I am a master’s-level therapist with a master’s degree in social work and experience working with children, adults, and families involved with the Department of Children and Families (DCF) and the foster care system. I have supported individuals across the lifespan with a wide range of mental health needs, including anxiety disorders, depression, acute stress disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), trauma and stressor related disorders, adjustment disorders, ADHD, grief and loss, emotional regulation difficulties, and behavioral challenges.
I provide trauma-informed, strengths-based therapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, parenting challenges, relationship concerns, and stress-related difficulties. My clinical approach is collaborative and client-centered, integrating psychoeducation and evidence-based interventions to support emotional regulation, behavioral stability, and overall well-being.
I work closely with parents and caregivers to reinforce consistency, structure, and effective coping strategies within the home. I am known for my calm, grounding presence, strong clinical judgment, and ability to build trusting therapeutic relationships across the lifespan.
As a wife and mother of three, I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding of family dynamics and parenting stress. I am committed to ethical practice, continued professional growth, and providing compassionate, high-quality care that fosters resilience, healing, and meaningful, lasting change.
I founded Melyse Behavioral & Wellness in 2023 to address the Mental Health Crisis. I enjoy utilizing a variety of evidenced-based treatments throughout my work to help my clients reach their goals and experience success in a variety of ways. Listening to their stories and seeing the gaps in between allows me the opportunity to support clients with seeing their own strengths that are the key to success.
I have been working in the mental health field for over 15 years. I have a strong background in Neurodevelopmental Disorders, the Foster Care System, Juvenile Justice System and the Adult Correctional System. I have also done community based work to provide families with therapeutic services within the comfort their home.
As a dedicated clinician, I am committed to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. I specialize in working with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, peer or family conflict and trauma-related issues. Whether you’re managing life changes, coping with grief, or navigating difficult relationships, I strive to create a supportive and empowering environment that fosters healing and growth.
I am passionate about working with diverse populations and utilizing evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support the unique needs of each individual. I believe in creating a non-judgmental and collaborative space where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered.
My areas of experience include Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, stress, LGBTQIA+, grief as well as family conflict. I use a variety of techniques such as CBT, Person Centered, Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Strength Based and Trauma Focused. Together we will explore challenges, build coping skills, and work toward achieving your unique goals.
